All Grays Harbor County Timberland libraries are partnering with The Aberdeen Daily World newspaper in the annual Reading Tree program. The public is invited to join in by bringing new, unwrapped books to any Grays Harbor Timberland Library, or The Daily World newspaper office, for distribution to children of families in need in the Grays Harbor area. Books are needed for all ages, birth through the teen years. The Salvation Army distributes books given at the Aberdeen, Elma, Hoquiam and Westport libraries to families in Grays Harbor through their holiday gift programs. The Grays Harbor Health Dept. distributes some through their programs as well. The Amanda Park, McCleary, Montesano and Oakville Libraries give books donated to them through local venues. Donations are being accepted through Friday, December 18.
