Description:
 Artist David Lasky will present a multimedia slideshow documenting the creative journey of a graphic novel about the classic American folk group the Carter Family. He will also discuss historical graphic novels and the depiction of music in comics. Lasky collaborated with author Frank M. Young to publish "The Carter Family: Don't Forget This Song," released by Abrams in 2012. Lasky and Young also collaborated to create the graphic novel "Oregon Trail: the Road to Destiny," published in 2011 by Sasquatch Books. This is an after hours program, no other library services will be offered. Sponsored by the Olympia Timberland Library Friends group.
